Cataract Surgery with Restor Multifocal IOL Testimonial From A Patient of Dr. David D. Richardson

I just want to share with you a Testimonial given by one of my patients, Lynda Young. Lynda had bilateral ReSTOR aspheric multifocal IOLs. She’s kindly agreed to share her experience with everyone.

Lynda Young: OK. My name is Lynda Young and for a long time, I’ve contemplated about having laser surgery on my eyes and to be true with you and I am just so, what I call wiggy, about anything coming near my eyes including makeup unless I’m the one applying it.

My first appointment with Dr. Richardson, I actually had my husband take me to because I was that nervous. On the way to the appointment I told him, I said, “You know, honey, I would rather be at the gynecologist and the dentist today than going for this appointment.” Well, that soon changed after I met Dr. Richardson and his staff. Within moments of coming into the office and meeting them all, I knew I was in really good hands.

My first surgery on my left eye was in May or actually it was in March for my left eye and I had the multifocal lens put in. I’m telling you, I was not the least bit nervous again between Anna being in the operating room with me and Dr. Richardson playing my favorite music and being such great care at the hospital over at Saint Gabriel. I just didn’t flinch a bit. So then came June and I wanted to have my other eye done and piece of cake.

I have just completed my one-month appointment from being after surgery in June and I’ve got 20/20 vision. I went out last week and bought my first pair of sunglasses without having to have the lenses changed on them. I just cannot be happier and I will forever be grateful for all the care that they’ve given me and recommend highly for anyone that is interested.

Thank you.
